Thanks

Lou - The original is in black and white; the illustrations and photos are virtually all from a day when neither photographs nor graphics reproduced as well as they do today, so they might look "not very clear" to your eyes if you are only familiar with modern graphics. I own the first edition of the book, and it certainly fits your description, although I have not seen a copy of the reprint. I suspect it is virtually identical to my copy; that's another thing modern printing technology does well.

can anyone tell me if this book was ever printed in colour. I have just bought a copy for my mother's xmas present, as she is an avid pram fan. I was disappointed that the pictures/photos are all black & white and not very clear, I understand this is a re-print but supposed to be an exact copy of original.
